# Set Settings while setup

Here you will learn how to set local or global settings already during the setup of Tempy.

## 1. Automatic setup: Set global settings

The global settings describe the settings that Tempy applies to each Tempy channel created by every Creating-channel you have setup on your Discord server.

## 2. Manual Setup: Set local settings

The local settings describe the settings Tempy adopts for all Tempy channels created\
by one certain Creating-channel. Local settings are hierarchically over global settings.
